CartCraft is made by one person, so the answer to an email comes from someone who can actually fix the thing you are writing about.

Email us

support@cartcraft.app

We answer within two business days, usually the same day. There is no phone line and no chat widget, because neither would be answered honestly at this size.

Before you write

Four lines make almost every problem solvable on the first reply rather than the third:

  • Whether you were on the iPhone app or the web app at web.cartcraft.app
  • Your device and iOS version, or your browser, if it is the web app
  • What you tapped, and what happened instead of what you expected
  • The email on your account, if you have one, so we can look at the right household

A screenshot is worth all four. Please do not send us your password: nobody at CartCraft will ever ask for it.

Common questions

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, in either app, choose “Continue with email”. The iPhone then offers “Forgot your password?”, and the browser “Send me a password reset”. We will email you a link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder before writing to us, because a password reset is the message most likely to land there.

My subscription is not showing up

CartCraft Plus is recorded against your account rather than against the shop that sold it, so first make sure you are signed in to the same account that bought it. On iPhone, the paywall has a Restore purchases button, which asks the App Store again for what your Apple Account holds. If it is still missing after that, email us and say where you bought it and roughly when.

How do I cancel?

A subscription bought on iPhone is cancelled in the App Store: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then CartCraft. One bought in the browser is cancelled from the billing portal: open the Household tab in the web app, choose the CartCraft Plus row, and pick “Manage billing”. We cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you, because Apple does not let us. Cancelling leaves you on the free week rather than deleting anything.

Can I get a refund?

For a purchase made on iPhone, refunds are Apple’s to give: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a purchase made in the browser, write to us and we will deal with it directly.

A price looks wrong

CartCraft carries a grocery catalog and adjusts it to your area and to each chain, then costs your basket against it. It is a planning estimate, not a live till receipt, and it is never fetched from a shop’s systems. If something is far enough out to make a week unplannable, tell us the item and the store and we will look at the catalog entry.

The dietary filters missed something

Tell us the meal and the rule and we will fix the data. Please also read the line we repeat everywhere: the dietary filters are a planning tool, not an allergen safety system. Always check the packaging yourself.

Do I need an account?

No. The free week works signed out on the phone and in a browser. An account is what carries your household between the two, and buying CartCraft Plus needs one so the subscription has somewhere to live.

How do I take down a recipe I published?

Open Recipes from the Household tab, choose the recipe, and change who can see it or make it private. Nobody it was shared with can open it from that moment, though the community feed can show the old entry for a few minutes until its cache turns over. The one thing that stays is a copy somebody saved into their own household while it was up: that copy is theirs.

How do I leave a shared household?

Open the Household tab and choose “Leave this household”. The plan you had before you joined comes back, and nothing you did in the shared household follows you out. The owner can remove a member from the same place with “Remove”. Either way, no subscription moves: CartCraft Plus stays with the account that bought it.

Someone’s recipe or profile is a problem

Every published recipe can be reported from its own page, and recipes reported by several different accounts are hidden from everyone automatically. If something needs a person to look at it, a profile, a handle, or anything urgent, email support@cartcraft.app and we will.

Your account and your data

You can delete your account and your household data from inside either app: on iPhone it is at the bottom of the Account screen, and in the browser it is on the Household tab. It is immediate and it is not reversible. If other accounts are linked to your household you will be asked to remove them first, and anything on the community side, your profile, published recipes, likes and friendships, is removed by writing to privacy@cartcraft.app from the address on your account rather than by the button. The same address works if you would rather we did the whole thing, or if you want a copy of what we hold first. The privacy policy sets out what is stored and for how long.

Reporting something serious

For a security problem, or anything about the terms, contracts or legal notices, write to legal@cartcraft.app instead, and please do not post the details publicly until we have had a chance to fix them.
